Suburban Refresh
This family home underwent a personality boost with a fresh, light wall color, new white woodwork, patterned breakfast room tile, and an “origami white” kitchen cabinet perimeter. New quartz countertops and hand-made tile backsplash keep the perimeter light. It was possible to save the kitchen island countertop and base by painting it a lively smoky blue to add panache to the kitchen without adding the expense of a new island. New airy, lantern-style kitchen lighting was added as well as more task lighting via LED canned lighting. The staircase had a make over with balusters, rise and stringers painted white to highlight the beautiful circular design of the staircase. A classic Stanton arabesque patterned runner adds warmth and reduces footstep noise. The laundry room became more efficient and functional with the addition of cabinets, countertops for folding, storage bench, hanging bar and laundry sink.
